It's RNG, so you can get lucky and find a ton of ladders or like me and not be able to find a ladder so have to use pits in order to progress due to how fast the time is and not wanting to waste it finding one tiny rock on the map in order to just progress. The only way to get to 60+ in the mine is to devote a whole week (or days) to do it in the Lebkuchen mines. There's also another quest (not sure who) where you can exchange some gems for like 10 eggs so you can cook them for fried eggs to get profit too. There's a quest that you can exchange 2 refined gold for 20 rock flower seeds in Lebkuchen that pop up from time to time as well. 1100+) Cook everything and sell that if you can (might be hard because recipes cost so much.) Try to cook stuff that uses one ingredient like hibiscus jam or two like hibiscus cake that's easy to get.
